Third ASTERICS-OBELICS International School

We are pleased to announce the third ASTERICS-OBELICS International School that will be held at LAPP, Annecy from 8 to 12 April 2019. Registration to attend the school is now open on: https://indico.in2p3.fr/event/18333/page/2036-registration-guidelines with registration deadline 28 February 2019.

This school is organized in the framework of OBELICS (Observatory E-environments LINked by common ChallengeS) work package of H2020 – ASTERICS project. The school is specifically intended for a large audience including PhD students, postdocs, senior researchers from the domain of astrophysics and astroparticle physics. It will provide theoretical and hands-on training to physicists to acquire efficient and fast computer programming techniques, as well as skills for improving their scientific data analysis software.

The school will include theory and hands-on sessions on following subjects by reputed international tutors:
· Project management
· Python libraries for science
· Machine learning
· C & C++ for Python

The reference programming languages for this school will be Python and C++.

To ensure organizational effectiveness we will be allowing maximum 60 registrations therefore we request interested participants to register as soon as possible. An attractive registration fee of €150 will be charged to confirm participation. This fee will include course fee, social events, accommodation arrangements, lunch and coffee breaks during the school.
